The Rev. Dr. John C. (Jack) Davidson, originally from the Cleveland area attended both Lutheran East and Lutheran West High Schools. Pastor Davidson did his undergraduate work at Concordia Teacher's College, River Forest, earning his degree in 1978. Upon graduation, he entered Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, earning the Master of Divinity degree in 1982. Seeking to further his education, Pastor Davidson completed the Master of Sacred Theology program at Concordia Theological Seminary Fort Wayne, in 1990, then went on to earn the Doctor of Ministry degree at Concordia.. Pastor Davidson was called to be pastor of Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lancaster in 1982. He has served the Church at large as a member of the Board of Parish Services in the Ohio District, and as Circuit Counselor for the Southern III region of the Ohio District. Pastor Davidson currently serves the Ohio District as its 2nd vice president. In addition to his pastoral responsibilities, he has served the community as a member of the Strategic Planning Group for the Lancaster City Schools, and continues to serve as Chaplain of the Fairfield County Charity Newsies, as an Assistant to the Fairfield County Coroner, and as a member of the Professional Advisory Committee for Hospice of Fairfield County. He also coaches in the Lancaster Soccer Youth program
Pastor Davidson resides in Lancaster with his wife Luann, and their four children. It is with thanksgiving that he has had the opportunity to serve solely at Redeemer since his Ordination in 1982.
